The take-off/the start

Our success story started when Mr. Sufyan Aref founded Al Mutref General Trading and Contracting Company in 1972. Mr. Aref was behind the company’s eminent reputation and leadership as the first company in Kuwait to offer automated parking system to the market. In 1982, Al Mutref company took the decision to change its name to Al Mutawaa & Aref Company and achieved a remarkable presence as a reliable supplier of high-quality products and excellent services in the Kuwaiti market.

The Growth and the Continuity

In 2003, Mr. Hany Al-Aref became the new company’s General Manager and leader, succeeding Mr. Sufyan Aref, to start a new era for the company, known today by UTC. UTS is currently a market leader in providing Entry control systems (for both individuals and machinery) to various types of facilities and buildings of both private and public sectors. The company’s continuous efforts and pursuit of the best paid off when the company became the sole agent for CAME company in Kuwait, Iraq and KSA. CAME is a leading cosmopolitan company that provides full-fledged technical solutions to residential, public, and urban spaces, resulting in intelligent living for the people’s wellbeing and luxury.
In 2005, UTC was the first company to introduce the “Bollards Security Systems” to the Kuwaiti market, which was a major step in the industry.

Awards and Achievements

In 2012, CAME company received The Unified European Certificate (EN Tested) which helped UTC to grow and thrive.

In 2014, UTC signed an important contract with the Public Utilities Management Company (K.S.C.C.) for 22 of the company’s sites.

In 2019, CAME company acquired the Turkish company Özak, which strengthened its leadership in the Entry Control sector.

Today, the company completes 48 years of excellence in providing parking control systems.
